I wonder sometimes...

am I surrounded by mostly selfish people? I mean I know we all are selfish, but thats generally to a point. For most people that point ends where there is the possiblity of hurting someone. But as I start to look around I get disgusted at times as some people's selfishness. The lying, the cheating, the minipulation of others. Honestly, it gets me flat out sick sometimes just thinking about things and what some people will do to quell that feeling inside them, what ever it may be.

I've seen first hand way to often what people's selfishness can do to others, and its not a pretty sight. The vast range of emotions people put others through for their own benefit...the anger, deep depression, etc.

I'd like to think of myself as a good, honest, helpful, out going person. But the negitive side to that is when you try to be out going to someone that is selfish....you get walked on. You offer to do a favor for someone, and they take it a step further with out even thinking of asking you if its ok. That leads me to another thing, disrespect, kind of goes with the selfish thing I guess.

But I not confrentational and don't want to limit my out going-ness because of a few rotten apples ... I will not let them defeat me in that manner. But it is hard, especially when one gets stepped on way more often than feeling apprecated. I am truely thankful for those that I feel are true friends to me and if your reading this odds are you are one of them. But far too many times in my life I've felt like a friend of convenence to people ... there when they need or want something, but when they don't, I'm then forgotten like last week's news.

Well gonna end this before I start blabbering all too much...

Our pitiful Economy...

My views on the Economy.

Looking around and seeing how the US economy is currently looking, it’s not going in a positive trend. That being said I personally feel both main political parties don’t really appear to have a clear-cut answer to how to correct it. To me the answer, though not my ideal solution, is for us to drill our own oil. It’s quite obvious that we as a nation are severely addicted to oil. As oil increases our economy continues to decrease. My personal opinion seems pretty straight forward. Remove a majority of tax breaks for big oil companies. These tax breaks should be used when certain areas are hurting to keep them a float (see the current airline situation). Not so they can make record profits while the rest of us suffer. Next we need to get off our dependency of Middle East oil. We need to start drilling more of our own oil. I understand the concerns of environmentalists, as I am one that does care about the environment. But if our economy crumbles the environment will for sure take a big back seat to everything else. So why should we let it get to that point? I say lets start drilling offshore oil ASAP. For those that say that we shouldn’t drill offshore, I have an easy rebuttal…Cuba and China are already drilling off our coast. I’d be much more comfortable if we were drilling off our shores than if they were, as we have a reason to keep things cleaner…if they get a spill or something do you honestly think they will pay millions to clean it up? Doubtful. Where as if, and I say if because I feel we have better technology now that would make it more efficient and cleaner than years past, we would spend the money to clean up the best we can as it would directly affect us. That said, I am hesitant to drilling in Alaska, but feel it could be done if litigation would ensure that minimal disruption to the environment would be guaranteed. Obama states he’s not willing to drill oil period, while McCain said he is against drilling in Alaska, but would be willing to leave offshore drilling up to the states that are nearest to those areas.

If we do work on drilling our own oil, this would be a temporary band-aid to a bigger issue. I do realize that, but putting government money towards only alternate energy sources will cripple us even more. I still say we need to put money towards alternate energy, but we need something done for the here and now to get our feet back on the ground. Add to that, if we can reduce our need for Middle East oil, we then won’t need to have troops in the Middle East. In my mind this is a win on two fronts. Our troops will be back home and out of harms way, plus I would think that would get the terrorists (or what some of them probably view as freedom fighters) off our backs. Now I support our troops full heartedly, but if one was to put themselves in the shoes of the Iraqi’s…think of the American Revolution, what our countrymen did against England. I’m sure they had thought of us as terrorists, but we viewed them as freedom fighters pushing out an occupant of what they viewed as our country.

I still say we fight Al Qaeda and hunt down Osama Bin Laden (which should be in Afghanistan and Pakistan, not Iraq), but continuing to occupy Iraq isn’t gaining us all that much, and is costing us a lot of resources we need else where.

Enough water?

gonna be a short addition tonight.

While stopping at a fast food place to grab some lunch, I noticed that this store had their sprinklers going for their grass.

Now, normally this wouldn't bother me all that much, though I do think this generally is a waste of water...but I could understand why they were doing it. BUT, last weekend we got ALOT of rain, so much so that there is alot of concern of dam's breaking, bridges falling appart, roads getting flooded. Then again today, we are getting hammered with even more rain. I had looked on a weather site and since Saturday it says we've gotten over a foot of rain! Please try and explain to me WHY ARE THEY WATERING THEIR GRASS?!?!?!

Not only is it a waste of water, but its putting even more strain on an already stress sewer system! Odds will be that it will be running again tomorrow, as its seeming to be on a timer. I'm very tempted to stop over there and ask them why they are watering the grass when there are flood concerns? Ugh, some people I guess....

Ok, was a bit longer than I expected it to be.

I just don't get it?

To start off, if I was to claim my success rate with women to be poor...that would be a great overstatement. But one thing I just don't understand is how some guys go nuts "sniffing" after some women? Am I missing something here, or ?

For instance, there's a girl that I work with, but is on the following shift. There was a time I was quite interested in her, but she wasn't interested. Ok, I was fine with that. But what gets me is seeing how a vast number of other male co-workers sniff after her. What I mean by "sniff" is that they will go out of their way it seems to stop by and visit her and seemingly try to grab for her attention on what appears a nearly daily basis. Granted she's really the only girl within the interest range (she's 30), there are other women, but most are near 50 or older. Plus she seems to be quite the freaky flirt (she held a birthday party recently where a number of these guys attended, and she was dropping her pants to show her thong and such).

When I worked the same shift, I would stop by and visit with her, but gradually noticed that she never really stopped by to visit me. Later is when I noticed all these other guys sniffing after her. At that point I decided it wasn't worth my time as I'm not going to invest my time and effort to a friendship that is seemingly one sided.

So I'm just not sure if I'm missing something, or am I right that its pretty pathetic what these guys are doing?

Everyone else is doing it...

It begins...

Well decided to try this out. I did a bit on myspace, but really didn't keep up on that, so I wouldn't be holding my breath on this blog lasting...but who knows. Don't come here expecting some incredibly indepth thoughts or some revolutionary discussions. Best off coming in expecting regular jibba jabba that way you won't be disappointed. Also expect to see some pretty crappy spelling, as thats something I suck at and not going to worry about that here. So if you do, I'm probably going to annoy the hell out of you with it, just fair warning.

Well if I haven't convinced you to ignore this blog yet, then welcome and enjoy the crazyness from this cracker.
